One in a series of greetings cards designed by Caroline using inspiration from time spent living in Kobe, Japan. Taken from artwork created with hand carved stamps of iconic Japanese symbols.
The welcoming of the new year, on January 1st, is a big celebration in Japan. Translated as oshōgatsu in Japanese, each new year is symbolised by one of the 12 animals from the Chinese zodiac. It is said that individuals born in a certain year show some characteristics of that animal.
