One in a series of greetings cards designed by Caroline using inspiration from time spent living in Hertfordshire, England. Taken from artwork created with hand carved stamps of iconic British symbols.
The common blackbird was always present in the garden of our family home. Rustling in the leaves and through the flowerbeds, searching for food. From March onwards, the blue-ish eggs would be laid in neatly woven nests, usually between three and five in number. The delicate shells later seen scattered on the ground as a sign that the new chicks had hatched. As the sun set in the summer evenings, the melodious blackbird song would be heard across the gardens in our road.
