One in a series of greetings cards designed by Caroline using inspiration from time spent living in Regensburg, Germany. Taken from artwork created with hand carved stamps of iconic Bavarian symbols.
The southeastern state of Germany named Bavaria, is well known for it’s tasty and hearty dishes, including meat and dumplings, sausages, breads and cakes. The Breze is one of the most famous breads accredited to Bavaria and is often eaten alongside sausages. It is made with wheat flour and yeast and is baked to make a thin chestnut brown crust with a soft centre. Most often sprinkled with salt, Breze can also be covered in delicious poppy,
pumpkin or, my favourite, sunflower seeds.
