autumnal kürbisse greetings card

3€ each
plus postage

One in a series of greetings cards designed by Caroline using inspiration from time spent living in Regensburg, Germany. Taken from artwork created with hand carved stamps of iconic Bavarian symbols.

The Kürbis, or pumpkin, is one of those foods that symbolises the start of a new season. The pumpkin seed is a very popular ingredient and decoration in baked goods, on salads and other foods year-round, but when autumn starts to arrive, every restaurant will have a special dish or two using delicious pumpkin. For me, in Bavaria, it is as popular and as celebrated as the Spargel in summer. Only today, did I walk past a selection of five or six varieties for sale in the Bio shop in town.
